Dear Professor: Solve My Problem, Fix My Issue

 

 

Dear Professor: I live in Florida, need I say more. I teach one of the grades the Governor stated teachers could be arrested, if we violated guidelines in his foolish "don't say gay bill". I have students who often refer to their parents as "mommy one", "daddy X or daddy Y", "my stay home daddy" and my "go to work daddy". This regulation is as stupid as the man. If I answer, or even respond to my students, I could be in trouble. The one thing I will not say to my students is don't say that or don't talk about your parents. Such a remark will leave a child with the impression that something is wrong with their parents, or worst, the child himself. I am aware, no one can fix stupid, but solve my problem, fix my issue.

 

The Fix Point: . The governor does not know, nor can he decree what words a child uses in a classroom. Children come from a variety of homes, and bring with them various behaviors, languages, and communication skills. A teacher does not know what a child wants or will say when they raise their hand. Teachers must be allowed to use their professional judgment in response in every situation without fear of consequence or termination. The Fix. If your governor qualifies for stupidity in mind and deed, there are two real choices. It is true, you cannot fix stupid, but you can impeach, recall, or remove the one who possesses it.

 

When politicians start telling teachers what they can say, what words they can use, and banning books to deny students knowledge,and a multi-culture education there is no way you can fix that level of ignorance or stupidity. This is not a leader, this is the selfish desire of a racist who wants to be king. You must stop the ambitions of a man who wants to be king, dictator, or supreme ruler in a country governed by a constitution. Such a man will want to destroy constitutional government. Dictator want to rule unrestrained forever,without the people having any rights, voice, or freedom he does not approve. Complaining gets the word out, voting gets the rascal out.
